This design can be stitched on 14 or 18 count Aida. The count means the number of squares (or stitches) per inch. Therefore, 14 count Aida has 14 squares per inch, whilst 18 count Aida has 18 squares per inch, and so 14 count Aida will give a larger picture.
If stitching on 14 count Aida, cross-stitch using 3 strands of DMC tread. Use 2 strands if stitching on 18 count Aida. Backstitch using 1 strand of thread for both.
Finished Design Size:
14 count Aida – 2.4” by 2.3” (6.2cm by 5.8cm)
18 count Aida – 1.9” by 1.8” (4.8cm by 4.5cm)
